Iowa Sales Tax Holiday to be held August 6-7th
The 11th annual Iowa Sales Tax Holiday will be held Friday, August 6th and Saturday, August 7th. On both days, all qualifying clothing and footwear priced less than $100 will be exempt from sales and local option taxes.
Be aware that the holiday does not include Sunday and businesses cannot advertise that they will pay or otherwise absorb the sales tax on items that don't qualify. Also, businesses that are open on these two days and sell qualifying items are required to participate.
