In 1979, Tim and his accounting partners opened Terry, Lockridge & Dunn. It was obvious—those in need of accounting and tax assistance could also benefit from investment advice. Using the expertise of the accounting profession, the firm began to draw upon the knowledge of market analysts, economists, insurance specialists, lawyers, bankers and other experts to help clients solve financial problems.

With the creation of the 401(k) and other tax-deferred saving and investment plans clients were looking for a firm that could help them see the big picture. Someone who could help turn tax savings into investment returns. In 1991, Tim established World Trend Financial, a firm that combines the insight of the accounting profession with the foresight of financial planning.
